The Door

William had just discovered a door, in the zoo. He had gone to the zoo with his classmates on a fieldtrip and when he’d wanted to pass the gate of the zoo, he’d heard people screaming nearby. He quickly rushed to a door, and bravely, pulled the door and opened it. It was dark, William wanted to get out, but the door had locked behind him. He took his flashlight from his bag, and turned it on…

He saw people in cages like animals. Everyone yelled, “Help, we’re stuck in this cage!” William was nervous, and afraid, then he asked, “Why are you here? Who is keeping you here?” The people shouted, “A polar bear locked us in here!” William was speechless. He couldn’t believe that an animal could lock people up. While William was wondering about why there were people there, he heard noises of opening doors, then, a huge white creature walked inside. William was amazed because the white creature was really a polar bear! He heard the sound of a dog barking, and found the dog behind a cage. “Ahh!” someone from a cage screamed. William quickly hid behind a box, with the dog.

He saw the polar bear eating…. PEOPLE! He was shocked. Soon the polar bear left, but it didn’t know that William was following it. William called out and ran as fast as he could to the zoo staff and told them about what he had seen, it was in the other world, so no one understood, and no one cared about him so he decided to look for the police. Only one of the officers believed him, she said that many people were lost and missing. William decided to return to the place and show the police officer how the other world looked like. But this time the door only led to a store room. William saw someone wearing a large coat, and a weird hat, walking… He was sure the strange thing was the polar bear. He told the police and they followed the polar bear to its dwelling place. The policewoman and William spied on it all day. They found out what it did everyday, then reported it to the local newspaper. The mayor gave them certificates for catching the weirdest killer ever!
