Leading up to Chinese New Year, the Chinese Department invited professionals making dragon-beard candy (龍鬚糖) and dough figurines (捏麵人) to DIS for the Middle and High School students. Teachers were also welcome to listen and participate in making the candy and figurines. In Ms. Susan’s Chinese classes, students also had a chance to write their own spring couplets (春聯).
