High-stress jobs lead to high stroke risk!

      Do you consistently have a high stress job or work? Are you feeling too much pressure in your daily life? In a recent article that was published in the journal Neurology, researchers found that there is a direct relation of high stroke risk to high stress jobs and tasks.

      According to the analysis, researchers looked at six studies which involved an estimate of 140,000 people aged 18 to 75. The research was between three and seventeen years long. The researchers concluded that people who had high stress jobs, including waiters and nursing aides, were2 2 percent more likely to experience a stroke than those who had low stress jobs, including natural scientists and architects. 

      The research also found out that people with high stress jobs were 58 percent more likely to have an ischemic stroke caused by a blockage of blood flow in the brain. Moreover, the link between having a high stress job and an increased risk of stroke is more probable in women than in men.

      Why do work stress cause health alarm? Well, it may not only foster many unhealthy habits such as limited exercise, smoking and reduced amount of sleep, but also causes certain organs like the heart and liver to operate abnormally, causing various terrible cancers or diseases.

      To have a healthier lifestyle and to avoid high risk of stroke and other symptoms, one should, apart from a regular amount of exercise, rest and a healthy eating habit, avert too many high stress work in a short period of time. Try to think optimistically, feel relaxed, manage your work orderly, and most importantly, enjoy your life!
