Imagine taking an evening walk and suddenly you inhale the sweet aroma of mouth-watering food drifting through the thick autumn air. You follow it and it leads to a Halloween themed fair exuding vitality. If you can imagine this then it isn’t hard to picture Masquerade Night. Or as we call it… “THE FESTIVAL OF TERRORS”, as you might have guessed the theme of this year’s Masquerade Night is the Festival of Terrors. This year we opened Masquerade Night with Sr. Zenaida’s annual opening speech. But unlike every other year, following Sr. Zenaida’s opening remarks, the D’TORCH Dance Troupe performed on stage for the very first time! During the Dance Troupe’s time on stage, they graced the audience by performing the D’TORCH hymn and the opening prayer. But that’s just the beginning of our night, throughout the entire event, many students had performed spectacular dance numbers. Ranging from Kpop to hiphop, our talented students provided us all with entertainment to enjoy. But what’s a fair without food and drinks? If you are a food enthusiast, then our Masquerade Night is just the place for you! Our parents and students supplied us all with a wide variety of food to keep us filled all night. If it is popcorn chicken or Indian food you are looking for, we got it all! With the combined entertainment and food, Masquerade Night was an event that was surely something we’d be talking about for days! With all the parents’, teachers’,students’, and other contributors efforts poured into this year’s Masquerade Night, everyone was able to enjoy all the food, drinks, and entertainment provided. But, how could we pass an article about Masquerade Night without mentioning the Haunted House that the Seniors poured all their blood, sweat, and tears on. This year the haunted house took on a school theme, not just any school but specifically Ratched’s Academy. To be honest, just waiting in line is absolutely nerve-racking! Just thinking about the bloody tables and horrific scenes gives me the shivers! It was like something from a horror brought to life by just a few seniors, and honestly, that is something only a few people could achieve. With the many joyful memories that Masquerade Night brings us, sadly everything eventually comes to an end. Although this night has eventually come to close, we have many reasons to look forward to next year’s Masquerade Night! Remember to watch out for more articles!
