Squid Game is the most recent TV show that is on everybody’s mind. Squid Game is very interesting to watch, according to many teens and adults (well, if you take out the bloodshed). The TV show hit 111m viewers on Netflix and is currently the most popular show on Netflix (The Guardian, n.d.).
Squid Game is a South Korean TV show filmed in Seongapado, located in Onjin and Squid Game was created by Hwang Dong-hyuk. The TV show was released on September 17, 2021 and has been a major sensation for adults as well as teenagers. One episode in Squid Game is normally between 30 minutes to 1 hour. We aren’t sure how much the show has made, but if it keeps up the popularity, it could earn billions of dollars (Tech crunch, n.d.). Because of Squid Game, Netflix’s stocks rose 5.25%, which is close to $634.81 (Barron, n.d.).
The episodes involve a lot of drama, action, survival skills, and thriller moments. Some people won’t be able to watch the amazing TV show because there truly is a lot of blood. The show involves violence and bloodshed, so naturally it is and is suitable for people 16 years old or older. Squid Game can be enjoyable for many people and could be terrifying for others. 96% of viewers of this TV show recommend it. It also is number 1 on US top 10 movies for September and October (Koreaboo, 2021).
The main character Gi-hun is number 456 in Squid Game and obviously, since he is the main character, he won the game. For those PEOPLE who don’t know what Squid Game is, let me explain a bit. Basically, there are 456 people who are all in a lot of debt who joined a mysterious game. There are 6 games and if you lose a game, you get eliminated, or killed. At the end there will only be one winner. In the TV show there are a lot of betrayals and sacrifices. Some scenes are quite disturbing and won’t be recommended for even teens to see. People have rated Kang Sae-byeok as number 1 saddest death after she was stabbed by Cho Sang-woo to death at night (Insider, n.d.).
Squid Game is one of the most popular TV shows that came out in 2021. The drama inside it is incredibly thrilling. Viewers have left comments describing how good it is. If you haven’t watched Squid Game yet, you really should because it would be one of the best TV shows you ever watched.
