Anime is very popular. There are lots of great anime shows that people love to watch. Anime shows differ in lots of ways. The art style, plot, and setting are all examples of how anime shows differ. In this essay, we are going to talk about the comparison between the two anime shows HunterxHunter and Boku no Hero Academia.
The first category we are going to talk about is the art style. Art style matters a lot. It makes the show unique. HunterxHunter’s art style is simple. The characters don’t include a lot of details. The show includes a lot of unique characters, all with different styles. For example, Killua’s clothes are more modern, unlike some other characters like Kurapika and Hisoka.
The art style of Boku no Hero Academia is similar to HunterxHunter’s art at first glance. But as you look carefully, you can see differences in ways they draw their characters. For example, the characters in Boku no Hero Academia have smaller pupils, and characters in HunterxHunter have a pointier chin when they turn sideways.
The next category we are going to cover is the plot. The plot of HunterxHunter starts very basic. A boy has a dream, he wants to follow his father’s footsteps, he follows his dream, and leaves his home to become what he wants to be. A very normal and wholesome beginning. However, in the end, the plot and the art suddenly turn very dark. The sudden turn of the plot affects the watcher’s thoughts about this anime A LOT.
On the other hand, Boku no Hero Academia’s plot doesn’t include big turns…yet. So far, the protagonist has a dream, he follows his dream even though people look down on him because he is powerless in that universe. Of course, because of his personality and his determination, he follows his dream no matter what. Now, he fights evil people and strives to become a hero. However, the anime isn’t finished yet… who knows what will happen next?
The last category we are going to cover is the setting. Basically, what it is like in whatever universe the anime takes place in. HunterxHunter’s setting is very.. weird and unique. In the anime, you can see characters like Kurapika, wearing clothes that people wore in the past. But then, there are characters like Killua, who wear modern-day clothes. It’s as if the characters came from different universes. In Boku no Hero Academia, it’s more like what our society is like today. Big modern buildings, big schools, subways, highways, roads, convenience stores, and people wearing modern-day clothes. And, our world now can actually be linked with Boku no Hero Academia’s world, since they said that people didn’t have quirks, or superpowers, before.
As you can see, from the paragraphs above, anime shows can be compared in many ways. But most importantly, anime shows are unique in their own ways. Certain anime shows and characters aren’t meant to be favored by everyone, different kinds of people like different kinds of stuff. In conclusion, HunterxHunter and Boku no Hero Academia are similar and different in many ways!
