Today’s pandemic has changed almost everything about our life from how we shop to how we work. It has also changed how we dress. Our daily activities after Covid-19 began have changed us to spend more time stuck in our house. Gone were the days of business casual wear for the office and dressy outfits for nights out. In contrast, we turned to comfier, cozy, and casual lounge-wears to wear around the house. Lastly, we can never forget the essential, ultimate accessory during this pandemic, a face mask.

Here are the top 5 most popular styles that were born or remembered from quarantine.

  1. Loungewear

This style of fashion is considered to be very comfortable while wearing, taking note that it is the relaxed cousin of athleisure. It was voted one of the hottest commodities of 2020, and it continues to be trendy through 2021.

  1. Slippers

Cozy slippers are the best options for spending more time at home. According to many clothes stores in the US, slippers became so coveted that many styles of slippers were quickly sold out. Ugg slippers were considered to be one of the must-have items during 2020. Also, many reviews on cozy slippers and uggs described that it was worth every penny.

  1. Activewear

At home workouts and virtual fitness classes suddenly gained humongous popularity after gyms began closing due to the pandemic. Because of this, there were huge increases in activewear sales too.

  1. Pajamas

Pajamas aren’t just for sleeping. Quarantine has made it common for lounging around the house and working from home. Also, for celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Jodie Foster, they wore pajamas while attending award ceremonies.

  1. Tie-dyed Fabric

Tie-dye was a huge success and very popular trendy style of fashion at the start of the pandemic when everyone was trying to stay entertained. Not only did tie-dye sell out at almost every retail store, but almost everything was involved with tie-dye from loungewear to sneakers to T-shirts.

Overall, this pandemic has changed and gave a huge impact not just on the health industry but also on the fashion industry. Although there are many fashion trends that are still existing, the quarantine has also supported making other types of fashion style. Next time you see a person wearing pajamas to public places, you should just appreciate how much courage they have to bring up to make a change in today’s fashion society and industry.
